Full time schedules are available after Phase 1 is complete
Saturdays are mandatory unless prior arrangements are made.
Part time course is 15-20 weeks
Full time course is 6-9 weeks
Course times may be made flexible to suit student’s needs

Nail Technician Class Overview

Graduates of CMN School will be able to acquire the skills to:
 •
 Go to a salon with confidence that they have enough artificial nail practice in services to do a new client with confidence
•
 Have business skills that help them build their clientele and retain them
•
 Understand the importance of salon conduct
•
 Demonstrate professional dress and communication skills
•
 Perform all skills with sanitation and disinfectant knowledge
•
 Understand nail disorders and know how to recognize one on a natural nail
•
 Understand chemistry of nail products.

Artificial Nail Skills Including:

 Tip application- White Tips, Clear and Natural

 White tip fills & Regular fills

 Fiberglass Sets and Fills

 Gel Sets and Fills
   
•
 Safe artificial nail removal
   
•
 Electric file techniques and regular filing techniques
   
•
 Repairs for all artificial nails
Essential Business Skills Including:
   
•
 Retailing and product knowledge
   
•
 Interviewing skills
   
•
 Job Fairs at the school for students
   
•
 Client consultation skills
   
•
 Client Retention classes
   
•
 Reception skills, appointment booking and telephone experience
Nail Art Skills Including:
   
•
 Hand painting
   
•
 Jewels and gems
   
•
 Nail art pens and design
   
•
 Inlaid and 3D acrylic art
   
Safety and Sanitation skills including:

 Proper sanitation and disinfectant procedures

 MSDS sheets and the importance of them
